For a limited time only, Subway is offering an Orchard Chicken Salad. In my opinion, this bright mix of chicken, apples, cranberries and celery is a great combination for a springtime meal. Today is my first workday of the Month of May and I believe it will be the first of several lunch stops to Subway for the Sub of the Month.
Subway heralds it’s subs that are 6 grams of fat or less, like the Turkey Breast (3.5g) or Oven Roasted Chicken (5g). The main difference in this Sub of the Month has is the dressing is already worked into the chicken salad mixture, so if you typically get a dressing on your other “ligher” sub, then this may be a simple trade-off to another healthier option.
A 6″ Orchard Chicken Salad weighs in at just 8 grams of fat, which includes 9-grain wheat bread, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers and cucumbers. Looking across the rest of the nutritional information, the sub is quite comparable to the a 6″ Turkey Breast when compared on the same breads. Hands down, this sub wins as the most flavorful I’ve ever had at a Subway.

If I were to own a Subway, the Orchard Chicken Salad would easily replace the Subway Seafood Sensation as a regular menu item.
